6 “Me Time” Activities before the Wedding

Savor the last few days of singlehood with these pampering activities.

Things can get crazy toward your big day, so it’s important to learn how to relax, let go of the worries in your mind, and appreciate the time left before the momentous occasion. Since couples are practically joined at the hip because of countless supplier meetings, food tastings, and the like, it’s nice to schedule some alone time wherein you can recharge and reset your mind, body, and spirit. Go ahead and indulge yourself while doing these preparations for your wedding. (Men, don’t worry—you can get in on these relaxing activities too!)

Skin cleaning

Best time to book this: At least six months (major) and a week (minor) before your wedding

Make sure to visit your trusted dermatologist for an assessment on your skin. That way, he can address your concerns and treat your skin accordingly. If your skin only has minor blemishes or bumps, you can go for a refreshing facial or peel a week before your big day.

Hair dye

Best time to book this: At least two months before your wedding

If you want to try a new hair color in time for your wedding, make sure to have your locks dyed as early as possible. That way, you can remedy botched up dye jobs or switch to another shade that works better with your skin tone.

Haircut or trim

Best time to book this: Two weeks before your wedding

Before chopping off your hair, talk to your wedding hairstylist about your ‘do on the big day. Get a recommendation to see if you need to grow out your locks or get a cut depending on your dream hairstyle.

Eyebrow shaping and body waxing

Best time to book this: A week before your wedding

Give your skin enough time to heal by scheduling your hair removal at least seven days prior to the big event.

Body massage

Best time to book this: A few days before your wedding

Take out the tight knots in your shoulders caused by all the last-minute things you need to accomplish. A whole body massage will definitely do wonders!

Manicure and pedicure

Best time to book this: A day before your wedding

Ladies, anything earlier than this and your nail polish might chip. Gents, believe us when we say that manicured hands will look great in pictures.

Aside from these six get-gorgeous acts, watching a movie, reading a good book, or working on a crafty project will help in keeping things sane.
