Prepare your props and outfits beforehand
Once you’ve decided on your theme, the rest will follow. If you go with a travel theme, you can look for a set of vintage luggage, a standing globe, maps, binoculars, and paper planes to use as props you can play with. You don’t have to pay for these items—just ask your family and friends if you can borrow them at least one week before your shoot.
For your outfits, you can use existing clothes from your wardrobe, but make sure they are photogenic (no huge tears or stains, please!). Make sure your outfits complement each other through the colors, textures, or prints. Remember, they don’t have to be too matchy-matchy. You can also opt to buy new clothes or hire a stylist to pick clothes for you. Just remember these are added costs that might be unnecessary for some couples.
